Alex Charfen - Founder of CHARFEN

Alex Charfen was born in Mexico City and as a child immigrated with his family to Southern California. When he was eight years-old, economic factors forced the emergency sale of his father’s business, making it necessary for Alex to start working. The business environment immediately became a safer space than school, playgrounds or anywhere else outside his family. From that moment on, Alex spent his life seeking to understand how to make business grow, which evolved into the question, How do you help people grow?

A serial entrepreneur, Alex sold his first business at sixteen, and then dropped out of college to sell another venture at 21. Leveraging his knowledge of sales and marketing, he created a consultancy to help the Fortune 500 and global 100 open up new markets and grow global territories, structuring deals for Fuji, Samsung, Canon, Home Shopping Network and Walmart that totalled in the billions. Then, after the real estate market collapse forced him into bankruptcy, Alex and his wife Cadey turned their knowledge of real estate into the Certified Distressed Property Expert® designation, which became the most-adopted designation in real estate industry history. Through the CDPE, he and Cadey were credited by the U.S. Treasury with moving forward the recovery of the foreclosure crisis by at least five years.

Best-selling author Robin Sharma recently described Alex as the most progressive entrepreneurial mind on the planet. A highly sought-after speaker on entrepreneurial awareness, Alex has spoken around the world for tens of thousands of entrepreneurs and top global businesses.
